Ascoril LS Expectorant contains Levosalbutamol, Ambroxol hydrochloride, and Guaiphenesin, which are used to treat coughs associated with mucus. Levosalbutamol is a bronchodilator that relaxes muscles and widens the airways of the lungs. Ambroxol hydrochloride is a mucolytic agent (cough/sputum thinner) that works by thinning and loosening phlegm (mucus) in the lungs, windpipe, and nose. Thereby helping to cough out easily. Guaiphenesin is an expectorant that works by increasing the volume of fluid in the airways, reducing the stickiness of mucus and helping to remove it from the airways. Together, Ascoril LS Expectorant helps relieve the cough.
