Mucaine Sugar Free Mint Gel belongs to a group of medicines called antacids used to treat acidity, heartburn, indigestion, gastritis (inflammation of the stomach), and stomach upset. Mucaine Sugar Free Mint Gel is a combination of three drugs: Aluminium hydroxide (antacid), magnesium hydroxide (antacid) and oxetacaine (local anaesthetic). Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide work by neutralising excess stomach acid. Oxetacaine exerts a numbing effect, thereby providing relief from pain due to ulcers or acidic injury in the stomach.
